Ending ProjectCRX

Posted by Mad Scientist on April 1, 2008

In case you hadn’t already guessed, this was an April Fool’s joke. CRX2.0 is still in full swing and will not be ending any time soon.

CRX2.0 came to its end today when I woke up to see it had been t-boned by a drunk driver. He smashed up his Audi pretty good, and ended up with a broken clavicle. We took this picture after having it towed to the crusher.

crx crash

Because I don’t have insurance, it’s not going to be covered, and I have to go to court because it wasn’t registered and it was parked on the street. I wouldn’t expect many updates in the time to come. I’ll probably just get a daily driver for awhile and recoup the losses on this shell. If anybody needs parts, let me know. The firewall is crunched, and one of the engine mounts broke off completely, so I’m expecting everything under the hood to be bad.

I know, shit like this sucks. Just try to picture it:

It’s 2:00am. You hear a loud bang, followed by the sound of tearing metal.

    …several hours later…
You wake up. You remember having a strange dream about metal being ripped apart. You check your email, check your page stats, and check your calendar. It’s April 1st. April 1st. Loud bang. Tearing metal. Blog.

hmmmm… let’s put all those together.

    Happy April Fool’s everyone :-D
